WHY O2 EXISTS

Why Orlando Created O2 Home Services

Homeownership comes with a constant list of things to assemble, organize, maintain, set up, and keep track of. Orlando created O2 Home Services after seeing how easily those everyday responsibilities can pile up, even when homeowners have every intention of getting to them.

His goal was to build a company that could provide practical help without making the process complicated. That meant clearly defined services, straightforward pricing, dependable communication, and knowing what to expect before work begins.

Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, Orlando designed O2 around the kinds of support homeowners regularly need: home setup, assembly, organization, item mounting, furniture projects, and recurring preventive maintenance.

For Orlando, O2 is about being useful, making homeownership easier to manage, and becoming someone customers feel comfortable calling when they need dependable help.

WHY O2 MATTERS TO ME

It Started With a Simple Question: How Can I Be Useful?

“If everything changed tomorrow, how could I be genuinely useful to the people around me?”

In 2020, during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Orlando found himself thinking seriously about that question.

At the time, he was working in corporate finance in Washington, D.C., solving problems through numbers, systems, and strategy. But he also wanted to develop practical skills that could make a visible difference in everyday life.

That search led him to woodworking. What started with simple projects grew into a genuine interest in building, problem-solving, and creating things that made a home work better.

Later, as Orlando and his family became homeowners, he began to see homeownership differently. Keeping a home running takes more than tackling the occasional big project. There is always something to assemble, organize, maintain, set up, or simply remember to do.

Friends, family, neighbors, and eventually Taskrabbit customers began trusting Orlando to help with those needs. Through those experiences, one thing became clear: people were looking for more than someone who could complete a task. They valued someone who would communicate clearly, arrive prepared, respect their home, and follow through.

That became the foundation for O2 Home Services.

For Orlando, O2 is about making homeownership a little easier to manage. It means providing practical help, creating useful systems, keeping expectations clear, and doing what you said you would do.

The question that started it all still guides the business today:

“How can I be genuinely useful to the people around me?”

O2 Home Services is one answer to that question.

WHAT I WANT O2 TO REPRESENT

A Company Built on Trust, Usefulness & Community

O2 is not being built simply for the sake of owning a business. The goal is to create a company homeowners can genuinely rely on, one known for being useful, dependable, thoughtful, and respectful of the homes and families it serves.

For Orlando, success is not measured only by how many projects O2 completes. It is measured by whether customers feel comfortable calling again, whether they trust O2 enough to recommend it to someone they care about, and whether the service makes managing their home a little easier.

That same commitment extends beyond individual customers. O2 is being built here in Southern Maryland, in the same communities where Orlando lives, works, shops, raises his family, and owns a home. The people O2 serves are not just customers. They are neighbors.

“I want O2 to become the kind of company people think of when they say, ‘I know someone I trust who can help with that.’”
